The S24 Series was released in July 2001, but was issued using the 1996 BABN plates from the S20 series. The S20 series had produced 10¢ and $1 coupons with a 2 prefix, and this new S24 series continued the 2 prefix, however, only the 5¢, 25¢ and 50¢ denominations were printed in the S24 series, so the numbering started from 1. Unlike the S20 however, the serial numbers swiched to the larger 4MM print size. The S24 series also continued the new insert-style replacement notes with a block of replacement coupons just above the regular coupon range. Only one S24 coupon has been identified as a Same Number Replacemnt. SNR's must end in serial number 001, 499, 501 or 999.
